Appointments & Getting Started

How do appointments work?

Dr. Giudice will conduct a thorough new patient examination, which typically takes about an hour. Depending on your health concerns, additional testing, such as bloodwork or imaging, may be recommended.

During your Report of Findings appointment, Dr. Giudice will explain his findings, discuss recommendations, and present personalized care plan options if appropriate.

How does an initial care plan work?

Every patient receives an individualized care plan based on their needs. A common starting schedule is twice a week for six weeks, followed by a re-evaluation to assess progress and determine the next steps.

Your Report of Findings may take place on the same day as your initial examination or during a separate appointment.

Insurance, Billing & Lab Testing

Is insurance accepted?

Apollo Health does not accept insurance as a form of payment. However, you may be eligible for out-of-network benefits depending on your insurance plan.

We can provide the necessary claim forms if you wish to submit a claim yourself. Our office does not submit insurance claims on behalf of patients.

Is lab work done in the office?

No. If lab work is needed, we will provide an order for testing at an outside laboratory. You can choose a convenient location from the available testing facilities.

Functional Medicine & Our Approach

How does functional medicine overlap with integrative care?

Both approaches emphasize whole-person health and personalized treatment. Functional medicine focuses on understanding underlying factors contributing to health concerns through systems-based assessments and targeted testing.

At Apollo Health, functional medicine and integrative care work together to provide a more comprehensive approach to your health.

How long does functional medicine take to work?

Progress varies depending on your condition, health history, and individual needs. Some patients notice improvements within weeks, while others may require several months.

Our focus is on meaningful, sustainable improvements rather than quick fixes.

Can I still see my primary care doctor or specialist?

Absolutely. Functional medicine is designed to complement your existing medical care, not replace it. We encourage patients to continue working with their primary care doctors and specialists as needed.

Virtual Care & Eligibility

Do I need to live in New York to work with Apollo Health?

Not necessarily. Apollo Health offers virtual functional medicine consultations for eligible patients outside New York.

Availability depends on Dr. Giudice's licensing and applicable state regulations. Please contact our team to confirm eligibility before getting started.
